Last day of Enrich for 2012...

Today is the last day of Enrich for this year! It's almost holidays, but I'll miss my friends. But anyway......

Today is my final blog post for this year - sad aye! This is my reflection for the year 2012.

First I'll start with the pros:

I liked doing my passion time first for passion time I did wearable arts and then I wrote a comic book then made a sculpture. I liked doing technology challanges. Also doing the elephant toothpaste experiment was cool!

Some cons:

Must dos and Picks and typing practise.

Interesting:

When the man from Sea Sheppard came to speak to us and when Anastazia from Environment Southland came.

Hello 

Today at Enrich we......

Played an old game called human naughts and crosses. There are two teams. One has bands and the outer does not have them. One person from each team is a 1 two outer people are 2s and it goes on to 5. and outer person calls out numbers.

Next we did our key competencies 

about passion time and communicating.

We also did our must dos and pics I did an work shop with Alana witch did a gravity experiment with eggs 

we had....

*a cup of water 

*a pice of plastic.

*a cut up handy tall 

*a egg

We put the glass of water on the ground and put the plastic on the top with the handy tall roll on the plastic where the cup was then put the egg on top with the points to the sides then wack the plastic on the side and the egg will fall in the glass.

We played chess I versed Madeleine.

She won. I'll try to get better at it.

Next we did passion time. I glued 

handy-towels on my sculpture.

Then after lunch, we did typing practise.

Term four week four

Today at Enrich we got a visitor named Grant from Sea Sheperd which is an organisation that saves whales and tries to get them off ships of people that try and take them. They try by using rope, throwing paint and by throwing stink bombs.
Then I played Kady at chess and........I WON now I'm 12th bottom on the board. Next week I might be higher, well I hope so.
Next we did must dos and picks, I did the chess, it was fun.
After that we did a typing practise. We learnt how to type asdf with out looking at the keyboard, and only using our left hand, it was hard!

Today at Enrich I played a new Wilson game called 4 Reds 4 Blues and a ball. Well, it was meant to be that but it ended up being 1 orange and a ball.  We had to modify the game a lot, because we had a hard time working cooperatively to play the game!
We did passion time.  I am still making a dragon.  Today I was putting the sculpting clay on for it's face.  All i have to put on now with the sculpting clay is to put on the spikes along it's neck.
We played chess. I versed Olivia and I won. Then I versed Madeleine and I won as well.
We did our Must dos and Picks and I did charcoal landscapes with Darryn.  I will go and finish it off now.

Week 2 Term 4

Today at Enrich we played a Wilson game called all or nothing, it is a really cool game but quite hard and my team lost! 
We also got to do passion time and I did some work on my dragon - today I put on his skin an I started to use sculpty to make his face and feet. 
We also played a game of leaderboard chess
 and we started our must do's and picks. I did an affective workshop with Alana  about Adora Sivetak who is a gifted girl with lots of amazing ideas, we watched her on TED talks.

Today

Today I learnt about sustainability. It means to keep things going.

Then we went in 3 groups, one group went with Alana one with Katie and one with Darryn. Then we got a sheet per group and we had to write down all the different ways you could get to school and then score each one out of 20 for which was the best way to get to school.  We had to think about cultural sustainability, economic sustainability, environmental sustainability, and social sustainability.

We did a technology challenge based on an episode from MacGyver. We had to make a contraption that would pull some tools towards us with so we could escape from a bed of concrete!  Here is the link to the starting of MacGyver:

We played chess - I played Olivia and Katie. I won against Olivia, but not Katie.

Then we played a game called All or Nothing it was really fun.
